Just a quickie to see if everyone knows that with the CERT scheme ending at the back end of 2012, cavity and loft insulation can be found for free for any property with NO means testing!

Is this is just one area, or nationwide?

I was reading recently that Cert may not end this year as they won't be ready with ECO in time - but the difference was only a few months.

It is as far as I know it is National, you'd just have to contact a few local installers and I'm sure at least one of them will be doing it free.

Apparently with the CERT scheme closing ( or if as you say ) down the Utilities have been caught with their pants down and haven't spent the allocated budget, they are now doing their upmost to spend it all hance everyone can get it free!

I know one company where you can buy a discount card for about £15-£20 and get the free insulation plus 5% off at some supermarkets and petrol from Sainsbury etc!

If you live in the central area you can get your free insulation at (link removed)
The CERT scheme is due to end around 1st October and it will be replaced by the Green Deal.

I also now have access to FREE external insulation in any CESP area ,domestic private or social ( dependent on survey ) for any solid wall property and in about 3-4 weeks this will be extended to any area if priority group ( benefits or age related ).

FREE loft and cavity insulation in the East Midlands until the end of the year.

Not that it's for the National?
