Can anyone throw any light on the acceptance of B30K heating oil now it has been included for RHI funding?
I understand that to convert your oil burner would cost approx £250.00 and that you would possibly require a new storage tank taking total cost to approx £2K.
But where can you purchase this fuel? all suppliers I have contacted do not supply this.
30% reclaimed cooking oil 70% kerosene and better Co figure than for wood or pellet boilers - got to be looked at, especially in off gas areas, rural communities.

So they have accepted a fuel type but not specified what boilers can burn it. Seems slightly strange to me ......

Thats right. This is a new biofuel which has just been developed and approved for RHI. I'm sure there will be more news on availablity over the coming months.

Hi,

A quick search on Google turned up this link. So it seems as though it is not commercially available yet. It mentions a launch in April 2011 but that that is to coincide with the RHI commencing and of course this has been pushed back now.
