Defining a low, medium or high energy user

Postby Chris Cooper » Sun Feb 05, 2012 12:29 am

Hi,

Looking on price comparison websites for deals and it seems the tariffs vary depending whether you are a low, medium or high energy user, but how are these categories defined? Is it the same for each provider? How do you know which category you are in?

Thanks

Chris

This may help: http://cfe.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6500/~/definitions-of-low,-medium-and-high-energy-users

The best thing is to look at your old bills and see exactly how much you have used over a year and enter that.

If you're a low user the "standing charge" becomes a bigger proportion of your bill costings, your'e looking for a low standing charge with a slightly higher cost per KW!

As opposed to a high user who would look for a higher standing charge but lower cost per KW!
